Frequently Asked Questions
Here you will find the answer to your frequently asked questions. If you don’t find it here please feel free to reach out via our contact form.
01
How long does Pastors University last?
There are four Modules, each containing about 12 lessons. The whole program is designed to be completed in four months, one Module per month. Pastors University is offered with a “Spring Cohort” or a “Fall Cohort.”
02
What is the format of the Modules?
Module lessons are all digital so you can watch them at your own pace. We recommend 3 lessons a week, almost the same as how much you work out every week!
“Learning Community” small groups of 5-6 pastors meet virtually at a time they all agree on. They cover the questions provided by Pastors University and share their life experiences and challenges to grow and experience community.
The module ends each month with a 90-minute Masterclass conducted live virtually with Pastor Larry. A prayer and devotional time, a review of that month's material, and a preview of the following month’s material . The Masterclass ends with a time of worship and prophetic ministry. Powerful!
03
Who is qualified to apply to attend Pastors University?
The material is totally geared to senior-level church leadership. The primary candidates are lead pastors, lead pastors in training for succession, associate pastors, campus pastors, and church planters. This is not an ordinary Bible school. The material is totally geared toward full-time or bi-vocational pastors.
04
What is the cost of all four Modules?
All 50 lessons, workbook materials, and Learning community small group sessions are included in the cost of only $3500. Applicants with financial constraints are urged to find sponsorship from their local church board as continuing education. They may also approach business leaders or their church body for a unique offering from their members.
In addition to the pastor receiving training, leadership groups within the sending local church may watch all 50 lessons at your church at no additional cost. This multiplies the investment and the training of church staff and members.
05
Which cohort should I apply for?
With all the limitations of a busy pastor’s schedule, each pastor may apply for either the Spring or Fall cohort.
06
Will I ever have to leave home?
No, the entire curriculum may be done anywhere and whenever you like. You have one month for each Module (12 lessons). It may be done with whomever you choose (spouse, staff members, etc.) or strictly by yourself.
The final Masterclass and a live graduation service will be available for those who want to fly in to Baton Rouge, Louisiana at Bethany Church South Campus on November 16-17. Pastors University will also host a celebration meal that Saturday after the Masterclass (Cajun cooking!). If you cannot physically attend that weekend, you may catch the Masterclass virtually and your certificate will be mailed to you.
